Software Engineering

Software engineering is the application of scientific and engineering efforts in the development of software systems. Our research addresses every stage of the development process, from requirements analysis to the maintenance of existing implementations. Areas of particular interest include information modelling, requirements engineering, model-based development, research informatics, systems security, and sensor networks.

Events Jim Davies shares platform with President Uribe of Colombia Professor Jim Davies, Programme Co-Chair of the Third International Conference on the Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance, shared the platform at the opening session with President Álvaro Uribe Vélez, the Colombian Head of State. President Uribe gave an inspiring opening address on the importance of ICT to Colombia in terms of democratic security, investor confidence, education and training, healthcare, and administrative transparency.
