The Computing Laboratory has funding from the EPSRC for a certain number of
Doctoral Training Account ("DTA") D.Phil. studentships each year. Only
UK and EU residents are eligible for these. UK residents are eligible
for full awards, including fees and maintenance; EU residents are
eligible for awards covering fees only. For a precise statement of
eligibility, please consult this
document from EPSRC.
The Department automatically considers all eligible applicants who have
been offered places and who have applied by the January deadline. We nonetheless recommend that applicants bring to our
attention their wish to be considered for an EPSRC DTA studentship.
Final decisions for applicants wishing to begin their doctoral studies
in academic year 2009-10 will be made not later than early May
2009.
