An international standard for the Z notation is being developed under the guidance of the International Standards Organization.

Standardization is the responsibility of an international panel, with participants from industry, academia, and other interested parties. The formal designation of the panel is ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG19 (Rapporteur Group for Z).

The panel has published a number of working documents. Its present activity is in producing an updated Committee Draft (see the first listed item below).

The Committee Drafts are the main public documents at the present phase of the Standards process. A `Final CD' was produced on 24th August 1999.
The project editor maintains a current working draft.
He also has a collection of earlier drafts.
A large collection of work in progress papers has been produced.
Various other archive material is also available.
