Systems Performance (Projects: HWLM, zDolphin, Datalace): I have been primarily investigating performance issues (e.g. problem localization and remediation, resource provisioning) in service-oriented/Grid systems, data centers and operating systems, through instrumentation (for data collection) and the use of machine learning techniques to analyze gathered data. I gave a talk (slides) at Microsoft Research Cambridge which presents the highlights of this stream of work.
Sensor Network Data Dissemination: Recently, I have also started working on designing distributed algorithms to minimize data collection efforts (e.g. energy-consumption) in sensor networks with mobile hosts.
Here's my Publications and Patents.
Formerly, I worked at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center (2005 - 2006) in New York, and studied at Imperial College London (2002 - 2003) as well as Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (1998 - 2002). Please see my CV/Resume.
