OXFORD UNIVERSITY  COMPUTING LABORATORY

David Knezevic

I am a D.Phil student in Numerical Analysis at the Oxford University Computing Lab, and my research area is the theory and implementation of computational methods for the solution of partial differential equations (PDEs). More specifically, my current area of interest is the simulation of polymeric fluids. My supervisor is Professor Endre Suli. I can be contacted at david.knezevic@balliol.ox.ac.uk.

About me...

Here is a picture of me and my fiancée (taken on Mt Snowdon in Wales). I am originally from Perth, Western Australia. In my undergradute degree I focused on electrical/electronic engineering, computer science and mathematics, and I graduated from the University of Western Australia in November 2004 with first class honours in the double degree of Electrical Engineering and Computer and Mathematical Sciences (BCM/BE). My undergraduate honours thesis, titled "Blind source separation for signal processing applications" is here.

I have also spent a year at the University of Texas at Austin and worked in the CFDLab, a computing laboratory directed by Professor Graham Carey which focuses on applications of finite element modeling. One project I was involved in heavily during my time in Texas, and which I have an ongoing interest in, is LibMesh, an open source C++ finite element library developed at the CFDLab.

I started my D.Phil. at Oxford University in October 2005, and I am a member of Balliol College.
