The Computing
Laboratory

Computer Science is a relatively new but now firmly established subject at Oxford. This web site will help you to decide whether your interest in computers would make studying Computer Science at Oxford an enjoyable experience for you. If you do decide to apply, it will help you to choose a college, and give you a guide to the process of applying and being interviewed.

The opinions expressed on this site are the product of ten years' experience of working as a college tutor and observing the Oxford admissions system at work. Definitive information on the application procedure may be found in the University Prospectus and in the UCAS handbook (see the More Information page on this site). If any doubt arises, those are the sources you should consult.

General information about Oxford University Computing Laboratory, which is the academic Computer Science department of the University of Oxford, can be found on the department's main web site.
