OXFORD UNIVERSITY COMPUTING LABORATORY

Welcome

The Computing Laboratory—the University's Computer Science department—is at the heart of computing and related interdisciplinary activity at Oxford. It is a centre for research in computer science, numerical analysis, computational biology, quantum computation, computational linguistics, and information systems. It is also a place where students can obtain an outstanding education in computer science through a variety of undergraduate and graduate programmes, including a part-time, professional programme in software engineering.

On this site, you will find the latest news of events and opportunities, along with detailed information on our research and teaching programmes, and on the activities of those who work in the Laboratory. There are specific resources for visitors, prospective students, industrial collaborators, and those interested in the results of our research, including downloadable versions of books, papers, and software.
